I'm an old goat, tho I've really only been coding for 4 or 5 years, starting with dos batch files, then some shell, then perl a couple years ago. I'm a linguist by training, and teach English as a 2nd Language when I'm not playing with perl and web apps.. I have one public project at http://wp-whois-proxy.sourceforge.net but the bulk of my stuff is behind passwords at http://ASE.ufl.edu but I do have a demo/devp site without passwords at http://nersp.nerdc.ufl.edu/~ase/ (if anybody's curious.. ) I guess it's because I'm a linguist, but I have an appreciation for elegant syntax, and I've come to the Monastery to learn to do more with perl, and do it more elegantly.
