~~Ironically, it's in the "patch" package.~~ Also, while I was looking where cygwin installed it I noticed that the original author of patch is --- none other than Larry Wall! News to me... Update: When I originally wrote this node, xmath's node said patch was in diffutils. Somewhere between my replying and my submitting, xmath found it in the patch package and updated the node.	[reply]
