      try Mail::Sender ;-)
      Back when I was first looking for an easy way to send attachments, this was the module that required the least effort on my part to get the job done. Now that MIME::Lite will call sendmail (or Net::SMTP or whatever), the gap has narrowed some, so it would be a harder choice today.

      Though if I didn't know about either module, I think it's more obvious that Mail::Sender does what I want it to do, and I'd probably overlook MIME::Lite (looking at the initial description that shows up from a CPAN search).

        You are right "low-calorie MIME generator" is not very descriptive. I bet there are thousands of people who have never heard of MIME, but know they need to send a mail with some attachment. :-)

        I think now it's more or less a matter of taste which one to use.

      I'll vouch for Jenda's Mail::Sender module.

      It's extremely easy to use and I have never had a problem with the receiver not being able to open the attachments.
