I don't know. I enjoy Perlmonks as a generally non-political forum. Admittedly, I chat about political stuff in the Chatterbox :-) But I like to keep my Perl forums about Perl. If I want flame wars, or if I want to read posts that I know will incite flame wars, I can go to ... well, I can go to other sites. It's a big Internet out there.
