I'm usually more of a VIM guy, but I can definitely see the usefulness of this :-) You might want to ask around about the Everything engine if you want something very similar to Perlmonks. JavaJunkies took this idea and applied it for Java, so it's been done before, and people are always talking about doing it for some other tool or concept.
I just realized that I was using the same sig for nearly three years.
