For all of you level 6 or higher you have the power to moderate content. If you surf from the newest nodes page you'll never see the moderation stuff until now. You can add the approval nodelet to your nodelets and if a node is pending approval you can approve it from that page.

I've noticed that posts okayed for the section page still have the frontpage checkbox available. Is this a bug or a feature? (I would suggest the former, because moderating from the section homepage doesn't have this behavior.)

I can approve my own nodes, or even send them to the Front Page.    8^0
Little things like propriety and objectivity keep me from doing such a dastardly deed, but shouldn't that be disabled within the PM code?

This isn't new to the approval nodelet; you could always do it from the section pages, provided you had attained the sufficient level. But anyway, I don't think it's a problem. The major intent of the approval system is to prevent badly formatted, misphrased, or obvious questions from reaching the front and section pages. Monks experienced enough to approve nodes (i.e. level 6+) should be knowledgable enough about the site and Perl in general to avoid these problems. Of course, were someone to start posting spam and approving it, a change would be needed. But until that happens, I think we should give higher Monks the benefit of the doubt.
