It is not. Cygwin is not windows. Cygwin runs on windows, but it's not windows.

    What I was saying is:
    This is Win2K. This perl program doesn't do what it was intended to do.

    And:
    This is still Windows even if I have cygwin installed for at least a tiny bit of decent software.

    I very well aware of cygwin not being Windows, since I installed it.

    Unfortunately there still is software which doesn't run of FreeBSD or MacOS X. :-(
