Your description was very accurate, while many weren't directly relevant to Java issues, they were still very interesting. Here's my abridged list of some of the better ones:

• Threads vs Forking (Java vs Perl)
• Why perl is more OO than C++ or Java...
• CGI (Perl) vs JSP
• Griping about Typing (especially this reply)
• On timely destruction? (excellent)
• PerlDoc vs JavaDoc

I don't believe any of these showed up when I searched for 'Java' earlier (possibly the punctuation interferes with the results). Also - do the categorized questions and answers appear in the search results?
