    's' is a fun delimiter, especially with a /s modifier and some variables named 's' for good measure. :)
    ss{.*?}s{$s[$s++]}ss;

        No, it's lower-case. That's fine. Besides, it's surrounded by a lot of other letters, so it's not a problem :).
