in reply to Email to PerlMonks

Not everyone wants to share their e-mail address. I understand and respect this, although sometimes it would be convienent to do so. The current mechanism, however, prevents anything from harvesting e-mail addresses, since they're stored nowhere except in vroom's head. Well, OK, the PM database.

The solution that I've found is send a /msg to the person, asking them if they will send you your e-mail address. You can include yours in the /msg so they don't have to expose theirs anywhere on PM if they choose.

Personally, I'm content to put my e-mail address on my homenode, or as part of my signature...

What exactly is the difference between vroom's head and the PM database?

    :)'s,
    Gryn

We don't have to worry about vroom's head crashing randomly during the day.

      During the night, no difference.
