Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I need some information, I have a site that people come in to check their personal records. And I have 4 sections with different password check. My idea is to use only one log method for all the pages, or at least for while they are at the site. Once they 're out of the site the cookie would be gone. Any ideas on how to start up a code like that?
Thank you!!!!

Cookies are a big topic. If you're just starting out with them you might want to check out some of the following links:

    Google search
Some discussion courtesy of the WWW Consortium
And of course the obligatory merlyn link

On the other hand, if you already have a broken implementation and are wondering how to get it running, post some code and we'll do our best to help you debug it.

You're missing a whole buncha information here. What have you done so far? How does it work currently? What do you know about Perl, or any programming? Et cetera et cetera ad nauseum.
