FWIW, for those monks interested, there is a CPAN-esque Java site in the works (and will be done RSN (real soon now)) at www.cjan.org. Although it's currently vapor, it should be interesting to see how it turns out.

I recall I've seen this site in in the works state about year ago. It definetely looks vapor.
