In Passing subroutines as arguments, in the first 4 (lisp) code blocks, the leading whitespace shows up as the 'unknown character' symbol in my browser. Is anyone else so affected?
I tried applying the most comprehensive unicode font I have available to 'preformatted text' in user defined style sheet of my browser, and it comes out just the same.
Can anyone tell me what the character is? Looking at the source did reveal anything useful.
Does anyone know of a usable (free?) monospaced font that has a reasonably full range of unicode glyphs defined, that I could use for preformatted text. The only reasonably complete one I have is a variable-pitched one and not useful for code.
Is there anything that could or should be done by PM to filter or replace this (and other?) unicode from code blocks?
I might have considered the node, but didn't want to as a) I'm not sure if the problem only affects my browser setup, b) it was already FP'd. <p.Thanks.
