in reply to Library Documentation & CODE tags

I went to the Library and clicked on Perl Syntax. And what do I see at the very top right under the title of the page? This:

Perl documentation on this site is out dated. You might prefer to see perldoc.com's perlsyn documentation (for Perl 5.6.1) or for some other release of Perl:

Or browse our local, out-dated documentation:

Why fix something that is more than likely going to disappear? IMO, if anything is to be done about it, the Library should send you to http://www.perldoc.com...

There is a whole discussion on the library and how it got the way it is over here. I think the long and the short is that if you are really keen to work on the library then join either pmdev or SiteDocClan.

That sounds like a fine solution, as matter of fact, it sounds like a great solution. As I said in my OP, I realize the docs are out of date and tell the users to go elsewhere, but they also say I can browse our local docs. Guess which option I pick more often. I think that they should still render correctly if users are going to see them.
