Those releases are not only compatibility releases with modern Perl and Tcl, also they allow finally get Unicode support in Tk GUI and pure TCL widgets.
Unlike perlTk, which solves similar task, those module connects with existing TCL distribution that is Unicode-aware and, of course, afterwards it could be shipped with module itself.
These modules are in beta development stage and are opened for suggestions.

But few demos in tarball distribution are better to browse.
