I've noticed that sometimes I will follow a poster's link to another node and find that it logged me out in the process. I'm not sure why it does this, but I have noticed that all of the links that do this are by node id AND include the, "previous node id" in the link. I'm not sure why this would log me out, and I don't really have the time to peruse the everything source to figure it out, but I have a hunch that it has to do with the inclusion of the "previous node id" in the link.

So I have a simple request:
When posting a link by node id, please don't include the previous node id portion of the url.

Thanks.

That shouldn't do it... what will do it is if you follow a link that points to http://perlmonks.org vs http://www.perlmonks.org the same with .com and .net because you may not have a cookie for those site url's
