in reply to D/FW PM Technical Meeting

Last night's Perl Mongers meeting was great fun even though we had our share of technical difficulties. All in all, I think that everyone learned something, if not from the talk then from the discussion that followed. We spoke about applying Perl/Tk in real world applications as well as comparing and contrasting it to the alternatives.

I was saddened that the attendence was so low. There could not have been more than ten or eleven of us counting spudzeppelin, (who asked if anyone had seen John M. Dlugosz).

I was asked to speak at next month's meeting. The topic is supposed to be "Intro to Perl" as we want to increase our membership. That is quite a broad topic and I am not sure how to go about it in the time allotted. Whatever the topic evolves into, I'll be sure to announce it here.

OK, ok! I am guilty of missing last months meeting. What can I say - interviews only come along on rare occasion.

With the new topic of intro to perl, please take a look at JAPHs and other obscure signatures. I for one would like to discuss some of the craft behind these japhs!
