Although I agree that the subject lines are not helpful, I can understand the reasoning behind using words like that. As we all know, newbie get blasted ever now and again for asking "stupid" questions. The subject line is a warning to those who would read it: "Don't blast me for being new at this...I told you it was a 'stupid' question".

I think we should view these subjects as a reminder that we are not always as compassionate as we ought to be :)
