It is easy to say that XP doesn't matter when you can't get any higher. The reality of it is - you get more and more abilities here at the site with the more XP you get. With that said, I didn't downvote you and have no idea who did.

It's like Petruchio said (according to tye's home node anyway) - "From what I can tell, people get along better when they simply show that they're willing to waste time on each other" If you really want to get a lot of XP spend way more time than you have to giving the best answer possible to a node.

I had actually just about forgotten about XP till I noticed tonight I had 10 or so to go before the next level..

OTOH, I was a bit surprised to see the root node above downvoted so heavily. Seemed like an honest, if lost, question to me, with some good starting places as answers.

I do understand that the -- happens, and there are many differing opinions about why. I was just a little surprised in this case.
