I am a radiotherapy physicist, working in Sheffield, England

Our departmental intranet uses Perl. I am completely new to this language, but I have had some experience with C++, IDL, visual basic, matlab, mathematica, html, Unix shell s‎crip‎ting and (lol) BBC BASIC.

O wise ones, I besech thee: please be patient with my ignorance whilst I tread the Hallowed Perl Path.
