in reply to PM feature existing in Netscape (4.61) but not IE (5.01)

Re: Ozymandias--After I updated my MSIE to 5.50, it now wraps, inserting a red "+" where necessary.

Re: misty--I was unable to find any kind of "code wrap length" setting in MSIE.

Re: turnstep--I agree.

1. The parsing is done server-side.
2. This isn't a question of how to do it, just how the creators of Perl Monks did it.

IE has nothing to do with the 'code wrap length'. This is determined by a value you set in your perlmonks.org settings, and applies only to your perlmonks.org login.

Once you login, you'll see your user name at the top of the screen. Click that. At the bottom of your homenode, you'll see two options: 'Change your user settings' and 'Edit your user information'. Select 'Change your user settings'. In the 'Miscellaneous' box, you'll see 3 options pertaining to code wrapping. Set these as you see fit, then click 'Submit' at the bottom of the page. This will update your user settings.

I've tried this in Netscape 4.72, IE 5.01, and IE 5.5, and it works for me in all cases. I've also tried various wrap widths, and wrap options, again, with no problems.
