In a queueing application, I'm relying on the time function to determine if a particular job should occur or not. For automated stuff, it works great. Now I want my users to specify when particular jobs have to run, and I need to get the epoch time. I can't expect my users to type in 1057037974. I want them to select the day, month, year, hour, minute, etc. and then calculate the value from that. Is there a reverse of the localtime function available, where I can specify the year, day, month, etc, and so get the number in seconds?
