dragonchild has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Perl 5.6.0 (don't ask)on AIX 5.1.

I've never used DynaLoader before and I'm running into a weird problem. I've got a compiled version of PDFLib-Lite 5.0.1. I've compiled it successfully (afaik), but when I try and use it, it says that it cannot load libpdflib_pl.a because it cannot find libpdflib_pl.a103.

I've asked the makers and they say they were unable to get it to work on AIX. I'm figuring that there's at least one monk who's run into this or a similar problem on AIX and has some ideapaths I might be able to tread.

I believe you can get libpdflib_pl.a103 from the cern library. Also there is an AIX build here have you looked at that?

    cheers,
    Jeffery
Look at that build - it doesn't have the bindings for Perl. If you look at their list of downloadable bindings, Perl on AIX is not listed. They have said that they don't know how to do it. (They asked me to let them know how I did it if I could.)
