in thread Non-English posts on Perlmonks

Hello, I'm french and it's true I can't complain, since in france the perl monks are pretty active, and can solve much of the problems I come across. I myself agree with the fact that "You will miss usefull comments of people ..." , since there is no sharing of information ... But, on the other hand, you can't blame someone who wouldn't be able to express himself in english (there I had so much trouble formulating this sentence ;o) The solution would be this (in my opinion): - when somebody exposes a problem in another langage than english, then someone should translate it if that question goes unanswered, or if it is really relevant to the entire community. I don't think everyone would enjoy much the translation of the most common questions. So in this case I would encourage the good souls out there to help others in translating there messages in the langage of choice that is Fr.. arghh no English ;o) Or perhaps could we ask our questions writing perl code ??? After all Larry Wall is a linguist, and most probably intends to make of perl the perfect langage that would unify all nations, and then the world would be perfect, and blah blah blah ;o) Tripnotik PS: excuse my french ...

    Tres bien :-)

If anything, PerlMonks should be made a multi-language site. Another challenge for pmdev/gods - recreate all the posting sections we have now in multiple other languages. And _then_ we have a language user setting that specifies prefered language. And *___*then*___* we incorporate text-to-speech and speech recognition software into the site in each language, and THEN...! OKay okay, asking for too much here. Just give me the voice recognition for posting. "begin post. begin code block. shebang line. use warnings. use strict." :)
