atnonis has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Dear monks!
I want to create a simple file viewer (like less) and I'd like to know if there is any module to help scroll-up, scroll-down files which are bigger than the actual monitor height.
Does anyone knows!?

The implementation will depend on your platform, and environment.

Can you please let us know what that is?

    Hello,

Are you talking about writing a web based application?

If so you could just read in the text file normally, but then scroll it with DHTML...

<div style="position:relative;height:250;width:100%;overflow:auto;"> You text file goes in here </div>

Not sure if that's any help to you, but it might be.

    Cheers,
    Tom
