It was brought to my attention that the link to the Spanish Inquisition post at the end of my posts logs people out. I wish I could say I did this as sneaky little ha-ha trick, but it was purely a mistake. I'm very very sorry for anyone who had to log back in. Please forgive my oversight. Hope it didn't cause anyone too much bother. This has been a public braodcast - no Animals were hurt during the making of this post -- however many Macphisto's were mercilessly hunted down and killed....

    If I remember correctly, it wasn't so much that it logged you out but that you were linking to the page using its IP address instead of www.perlmonks.org. Since most of us don't have cookies set for the IP address, the result was as if you were logged out. I seem to remember thinking "boy, this is annoying", but then I just read your page, hit "back" on my browser and continued on :-)
