I don't know who you think you are, but BrowserUk is no
troll. Quite the contrary, he is one of our esteemed users,
often going out of his way to help people. Maybe he should
not have been so harsh to SyN/AcK, but he also didn't
have the advantage of getting to know SyN/AcK like i
slightly have. Having talked to SyN/AcK via private
/msg, i learned well in advance what his intentions were
before he posted this - to start a Network Security company.
Not knowing that (or not trusting that), it is very easy to
see his intentions as nefarious. Very easy! Why didn't
SyN/AcK title his post "Password cracking algorithm"?
[update: title renamed]
His title is was misleading ... when i saw
it i thought he wanted to know where to find information on
algorithms in general.
So, Mr. Anony ... what have you contributed to our
Monastery besides troll bait? I do hope you are on your way
out if continue to spew BS from your mouth. This is
serious stuff - security is about as serious as it gets.
Given that, i can't blame BrowserUk for playing devil's
advocate ... somebody had to push that button to see what
SyN/AcK's real intentions are.

I thank you for the support Jeffa. Upon reflecting on my original post, its quite clear that I really did not post enough to assuade people from believing that I was going to use this as a hacking tool. Perhaps BroswerUk playing the devil's advocate was not such a bad thing, as you said it helped to show better my intentions. It was just in my opinion that he could've gone about it in a more professional manner, I don't think that attacking me or my business was a very good way to go about it.
It comes back to what we had talked about before, and how you had provided positive feedback to what I had said while others just talked junk. Maybe that wasn't BrowserUk's intention, but it did seem that way.
