Good note, I tried running the perl -c with no avail, however I did get a response from ASPN someone pointed out a new/different version GD from a repository that I had not seen. So I removed my current GD and subsequent libs and installed the ones that I was pointed to and, Vualla! no more error! Thanks for your insight!
