I happened to notice merlyn chuckling about all the credit he got leading the best nodes of the day. And thankfully, he was assiduous enough to actually create a link to this in his chat.
But if it werent for him, I would have never found out that Best Nodes existed.
Why isn't it in the menu at the top of the page? How was I supposed to know about it?

Replies are listed 'Best First'.

That which is not immediately apparent is much more of a reward when it is found!

However, I too would appreciate some hints towards more of these Easter Eggs. Here's the ones I know about:
    -Worst Nodes
    -Stats Page
...there has to be a bunch more...
Update:Whoops! Didn't read the post below by kudra first. Well, to make this post substanceful, I'll reveal the noisy sunset node here. :)

(kudra: why should it be?) RE: Why is Best Nodes not in the Menu?

Turnstep has links to these kinds of places at the bottom of his home node. They also get brought up every now and again in posts and aren't required for enjoying the site.

The best nodes will be found by digging through old posts, following threads and links to see where they lead you, and so on. Yes, there could be links to all the 'system' pages like best nodes, but then you still wouldn't find things like Jcwren's stats page. There's simply no substitute for finding your own collection of 'best nodes'.

Update: Turnstep, you concentrate on finding the nodes (noisy sunset is a new one for me!) and I'll advertise you, okay? ;)
