Thanks for the heads up on this. I spend most of my perl browsing time at Perl Monks and these little news bits help keep me somewhat up to date on whats going on in the world of Perl outside The Monastery Gates.

I think it would be nice if you described the changes since RC3. Besides, does news that is on use Perl also need to be posted here? I think people who care visit use Perl anyway.
From use Perl:

Juerd, thanks for taking the time to point those things out. I actually read Jarkko's announcement on the P5P mailing list last Friday and noticed it hadn't been mentioned here hence my post.
