attaching a log file to an email

skyler has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Good Afternoon Monks, I'm looking for some ideas to write a program that would be able to attach a log file and send it to a few users(People). I haven't use the email commands of perl and I don't know if I need to have an SMTP account created to run this script. I will appreciate any suggestion on how to write this program. Regards

skyler, I know it can be a daunting task to start a project when you have no idea where to begin. For future reference, the first place to start is usually searching to see if the answer already exists. this is exactly what you are looking for in Categorized Questions and Answers Super Search would probably help too Cheers - L~R	[reply]
