gathered from yet another perl forum. temperature rally (german, external).

background: a massive heatwave hit europe some weeks ago. the official DWD (Deutscher Wetter Dienst) record is 40,4°C, but in a city called perl a temperature of 40,8°C was measured. hehe :)

unfortunately, the record was not accepted. :(

    Perl (the town) is located in southern Germany.
    They are producing lots of wine there, wich is often called something with Perl as well.

      For the german perl-workshop 2002, I think they even sponsored some bottles of wine or the like...

      I reckon it might be a good city to live :-))
