Perl certification has been discussed many times on perlmonks. (Perl Certifications ??, Perl Certification, Certification Foo, Perl Certifications and/or Professional Development, Web-based certification services, etc.).

Has anything come of it? No. Probably because we're a general discussion area rather than a specific one (and because most Perl developers seem to dislike the idea :-)

I'd say you're much more likely to get useful progress on a more focussed site myself.
