Just to nit-pick, some browsers (such as Mozilla, Firebird, prolly Opera and Camino) do let you shut it off.

Mozilla and all let you dissallow random html attributes? Never knew they could do that.	[reply]

Actually, I guess it is the tabbrowser extension; it lets you force new windows to open as new tabs instead. IIRC though, there was an option to force all new windows to open in the same window as well, but I couldn't find it with a quick glance thru the prefs...	[reply]
