I find the navigation bar too busy already... if a link to the FAQ besides "Need Help" (now turned off, thanks tye :) is added for the benefit of new users then "turn off hints" in user settings should remove it again :)

I was thinking of suggesting allowing customisation of the navigation bar but then people might just turn off the Offering Plate which I would not advocate. How about two different navigation bars selectable from user settings, the default as per existing and a "lean and mean" version which would contain (my preference)- "log user out", "user home node", Super Search, Newest Nodes and the Offering Plate or something to that effect?
