Click on the subject for the individual node and the displayed page should have a box for modifying the node's content. It won't show up if you're looking at the entire thread.

    You cannot however update original posts. Only replies to the original post. In order to change the OP, you must /msg one of the editors.

      Having said that, let me add that this is a classic example of the kind of change that is *not* usually made. The tradition here at PerlMonks is to preserve the history of a discussion rather than prettying it up after the fact.

      crazyinsomniac's suggestion is a good one: the original poster can simply reply to root node with further information or learnings. That way, the progress of the discussion is preserved.
