There are Crypt::SSLeay and IO::Socket::SSL ActivePerl packages in third-party repositories. Both http://thoeryx5.uwinnipeg.ca/ppmpackages/ and http://crazyinsomniac.perlmonk.org/perl/ppm/ have them for 5.6.
