Fellow Monks

I'm thinking about how to organize an YAPC at Brazil, for the local perl community. But I never, ever in all my life organized nothing greather than a birthday party.

For that reason, I'm here, humbling searching for the wisdom and advice of the Perl Monks.

How can I organize an YAPC at Brazil?

Is there any organization that can help me?

Is there any way of asking for fundings for the Conference?

Is there something like a YAPC How-To or some simmilar document to guide newbye organizers?

Is there somebody that could help with directions and advice?

Many thanks in advance, and may the gods bless you all.

Go talk to people who already have organized a YAPC. Go to the YAPC website. Go to the website of Yet Another Society. Previous experience has been documented. Tap into it!

I would suggest contacting a local college or something of that nature and ask for their cooperation. Your idea may benefit their academics and they may be will to offer you some help including server space. And students may be able to work on the community software as part of class projects or internships
