Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hello,
I wonder where I could start and how should I do automatic search/mount of samba or nfs shares across local (limited part of) network ?

Thanks in advance,

Robert

For mounting with samba, see man smbmount. If you need to get a list, see also man smbclient. You can use a Perl script in a cron job to automate the process. Someone else will have to answer about NFS, as I've never used that.
