high-handed and stupid advice

My post was a series of questions, rather than a piece of advice. The point being have you ever worked at a company that says we value your input, so you offer it, only to find yourself branded as 'not a team player'?

As I read AMs response it seemed to me we were observing just that sort of behaviour from someone whose basic question was 'How do I get the best people to come and stay at my company?' The AM part was simply one of the suggestions offered by dws all of which AM felt required counter-argument if you read the response.

Now let's step back for a minute an consider what dws said which was essentially 2 things.

1. You will get a much better response if you invest 2 minutes to plaster an anonymous handle on your anonymous forehead. Does responding positively to this suggestion cost AM anything NO. Does AM take it on board and act on it NO. Does AM argue the point YES. Does AMs node recieve a very luke warm response rate DEFINITELY (look how few replies there are, compared to similar non FP nodes on similar lines in recent memory)
2. You will get a much better response if you target your question a bit more specifically. See most of the points in 1

In my considered opinion if AMs response was indicative of how they handle employee relations then that is probably one of their real problems. So he asked, I told him. Yes I could have been more polite or less sarcastic, but it seemed to me AM was simply demonstrating one of his/her problems while remaining blissfully ignorant.

Just my opinion, with my name stuck to it {shrugs}.
