    DiBona is a friend of nate's, was in town and we thought he looked sufficiently monk-like. He was a member of the original 6 picture rotation and I see no need to change that. As for users having to reach level 6 to have their picture up there I think it's a fair if not overly easy thing to do to have your picture featured so prominently within a site.

    I also retain the right to do as I please even if it doesn't make sense to everyone. So long as it makes sense to me that's reason enough to have it on PerlMonks.

    I was under the impression that DiBona was a member of the Everything team.

    Btw, you could have just /msg'ed vroom with this.

    some sort of honorary title thing. i'm guessing he had something to do with the site design. i mean, cowboy neal is up there and i haven't seen him around this site too much. plus, dibona's home node is number 942. seeing as how vroom is 979 or something - it means that dibona started coming here before vroom did... thats hard to do. as ar0n said... this could've been /msg'ed to vroom. in any case, there's no need to complain about it.

    Did the picture get eliminated? I don't see one.

    update: Uh, why is this getting voted down? I don't see one, and I don't know what the fuss is about, and I'm curious! Do I need to show you all a screen-dump as proof? {sigh}
