This is what I'd wanted to enter into the obfuscated perl contest, but I obviously didn't get the size requirement for category 4. The actual entry is a lot smaller (347 characters instead of 689), so I was actually much closer to the limit than this reflects. I had to enlarge it quite a bit to make sure that it'd run just fine after being posted. Those blasted binary characters don't seem to transmit properly all the time. Oh well.

        I'm assuming that the delay is because they are still trying to puzzle through the entries. Perhaps there were also more entries this year than in previous. Does anyone know when the results are expected/announced? In the next issue of The Perl Journal perhaps?
