Greetings, fellow monks.

I'm here to congratulate Jeremy Muhlich for his work on Net::IRC. I'm a frequent IRC user and today the server I usually connect was having problems and lots of people were disconnected (including me), but the IRC bot I've developed using Net::IRC took all the pressure without any problems.

I was really impressed.

You should check out POE::Component::IRC some time. I've noticed similar levels of robustness, but also it uses POE. Which forced me to learn POE. Which is very cool. :)

(I've heard that Net::IRC is relatively neglected these days, and PoCo::IRC is the things to use. So that's what I used, and I'm glad for it.)
