(OT) expect tutorial?

da97mld has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi!

I know this question might not be for this forum but since all my other questions have been responded on so quickly I will give it a go :)

Does anyone know where I can find a good tutorial on expect? I have searched the internet but have not found a good one.

Try these two: http://www.raycosoft.com/rayco/support/expect_tutor.html and http://www.csc.calpoly.edu/~dbutler/tutorials/winter96/expect/. Both are rather basic, though. But since Expect is based on Tcl, it might serve you to check out this page for info on Tcl programming and tutorials. I would also suggest checking out the Expect module Who is Kayser Söze?	[reply]

Given your phrasing, I guess you mean Expect the TCL extension, not Expect the Perl module. I don't know of a tutorial, but there are plenty of examples available. Coupled with the documentation, it isn't difficult to learn if you know some TCL.
