I wish to grab the list like the task manager applications currently running so in my case I make sure i only have 6 db2 CLP running at any one time. on window machine

      The first 2 of those 3 are for creating and manipulating processes, not for querying tasklist info.

      The 3rd, as the name suggests is only usable for NT. However, it is a sub-module of Win32::Process::Info, which is a generic Win32 task information package.

    The most complete way to view & monitor processes on a Win32 machine is to use Win32::Perflib. It will work for NT, 2000, XP, 2003.
