otherwise no matter how wonderful your insight may be it will be nothing but noise

I beg to differ. It may be noise to you because you prefer to identify signal with known authors. I, on the other hand, do not make that generalization and hence haven't cut myself off from that signal source.

what do you think the ratio of good/bad useful/trash gem/lump of coal posts tends towards for Anonymous?

I do think it is telling that none of the worst nodes of all time are anonymously authored, only 1 of the 10 worst of the week, and only 2 of the 10 worst of today are anonymous. As for the ratio of good/bad AM posts, that doesn't concern me: When I search for information I am not wading through the entire pool of AM posts (or any other particular user's posts), I am wading through the threads that the search has turned up as being relevant, and I find that as I wade through a given thread the signal ratio within the pool of AM posts in that thread is as high or higher than the signal ratio within the pool of signed posts in the same thread.

tag yourself with a moniker. fight for youself against the background noise.

Some people want to do this. Some people don't. I don't think that wanting to do this should be a requirement to participate here. Why do you think it should?
