I would like to be able to stream the output of a Net::Telnet session to view on a web page. It does not need to be interactive with the page, I only want to display the output.
I have tried a few methods, but I am having a problem when it comes to command prompts (login, password, etc). The application blocks and eventually times out since there is no end of record(line).
What I want to do is have the program fork and one side continually output whatever is sent from the remote end to a web page and the main program perform the interaction.
This way I can have a status window of what the app is doing in real time.
Any ideas on how to accomplish this, or other methods?
Here is an example of what I have done so far:
my $tnet = Net::Telnet->new();
$tnet->open('192.168.2.1');
unless (fork)
{
while (1)
{
print $tnet->getlines(Errmode => 'return');
}
}
$tnet->waitfor('prompt#');
$tnet->put('text');
