There's no need to do it in Perl. Explore key layouts and mappings (and `xev` to grab keycodes) in X to learn how to do it. I personally use those keys for other functions.	[reply] [d/l]

Depending upon the distrubtion you're running, KDE and Gnome will do this "out of the box". Update: And it just occurred to me that you're probably not running one of "those" distributions or you won't be asking. Pay no attention to the idiot behind keyboard .... If things get any worse, I'll have to ask you to stop helping me.	[reply]
