While PPM::Repositories is a lovely module, it isn't really what the fellow was asking.

The short answer is, yes the GD Graphics Library can be installed and compiled on Windows. However, the distribution comes with source only, thus you will need a C compiler to make it work for you. To the best of my knowledge there aren't any binary repositories, although with luck one of the monks will know of one. If you require PNG or JPEG image support you'll need to install a couple of extra libraries. See the README in GD.pm for more links and information.

      Apologies, but I thought the title to be misleading as the actual text implied to me that the OP was asking about installing libgd not GD.pm.

      I was unaware that GD.pm includes libgd in it's distribution, as that also isn't clear from Lincoln's README file. Or is this just for Win32 distributions? As it happens the OP can simply use your module and install via PPM. However, that wasn't clear from your post.

      Yes, I use your module regularly. But how does that list imply that GD.pm includes the binary distribution of libgd for Win32?

        That's the idea ( A guide to installing modules demonstrates that strategy). I didn't get the impression the OP wanted libgd, he just wanted the perl interface to work, and the path of least resistance is ppm.
