I have no experience with Net::Jabber, but it seems that Google does.

I quite easilly found this site which has some examples and furthermore states:

"A Jabber installation consists of one or more Jabber servers, and one or more (more than one is usually more useful ;-) Jabber clients. The server software, and ready-made clients are available from the Jabber web site."

So I'd suggest that you take a peek over there. It does seem that there is a lot of software listed on the Jabber site.
